Sitting in the sun for five minutes
In the middle of a long inside day
Impromptu noodles for dinner
And another visit to the movie about a famous plastic doll
That is surprisingly brilliant and funny and prescient
The ending is what gets me
(Among many of the things)
It’s not about men and women happily coexisting and making peace
It’s about owning who you are
And living in your skin
And embracing yourself wholeheartedly
