I ran on the track in the park
And had coffee with a friend
I saw a Broadway show
And treated myself to a ridiculously overpriced drink in a plastic sippy cup
In midtown, I spotted a kaleidoscope of oversized brightly colored butterflies
Lighting up a restaurant window
And the gorgeous whimsy of it stopped me in my tracks
On the way home, I listened to the playlist Susannah made for me
And it made me cry happy tears
Of feeling seen
And being understood.
